3/26/09 - 5/3/1 Deadlift & Adult Jiu jitsu

Still without my training partner but wanting to get work in I just did deadlifts today before I went to jiu jitsu.

Jiu Jitsu
Our regular instructor was not in today so the other owner taught class. Today focus on the standup portion wihich was an odd, but welcome change. We first started with the drop seo nage to armbar. Then a move where you essentially just sit on your butt but extend your leg to trip your opponent and use your other one as a butterfly hook. Last one we learned was a falling armbar where you post your foot on your partners hip, fall back and turn into an armbar.

Open mat was cancelled in lieu of mma fights coming up shortly and allowing those guys to train.
