Omoplatas....Setup from a hip heist and some counters to the defense of the omoplata.
Open mat
I rolled with Matt who has gotten significantly better. I use to be able to tap him pretty quick but he has become very aware of attacks and has began to avoid putting himself in situations to get easily caught. Starting from my guard I was able to armdrag him and take his back relatively quickly. However i was unable to finish him from that position. I thought I might of had a RNC but I was a little to far out to the side to get it...I transitioned to mount and after a failed armbar attempt I was on bottom. He eventually got mount and it was a struggle to get him off, he went to get an armbar and I was able to defend and ended up on top again. We went back and forth for quite a while until finally I went to Knee on Belly and got a baseball bat choke.
We ended up rolling for 20 minutes or so before there was a tap....this was exhausting. Since nobody else I hang out with was there I decided to call it quits early and head home. I had the slight radiant pain in my right arm again, but not my left...so I guess this is an improvement. It also wasn't as bad as it usually gets.
I also noticed my shoulders were a bit sore...I think this might have been from squats or the stretching I did on Monday.
