I took another Muay Thai class tonight. We continued on some of the things we did last time. Checking kicks, cutting the line, catching the kicks. We finished up with kicking and kneeing som pads.
One of the things I've noticed is that I feel awkward on my feet. While I can kick and punch well, I feel slow and a bit unnatural. I take this as meaning that I should probably take more of these classes so that I can become comfortable on my feet. I think I mentioned this in my previous post and it seems as though I keep coming to the same conclusion the more I take these classes. I am thinking I'll do 3 hours per night on Monday and Wednesday....Muay Thai class, Jiu Jitsu open mat, MMA class. I might skip the MMA but we'll see how intense it is nowadays. Then there is a Friday night "Takedowns" class that I'd like to take...Then Saturday is nogi JJ.
The problem I come across is the time to workout....I can do Tuesday and Thursday no problem...The only time I have left would be Saturday after Jiu Jitsu or Sunday. Typically Sunday's are my rest and cooking days...so it's a little bit of a dilema....I'll probably end up doing something after Saturday's Jiu jitsu class.
